Capacity Development Toolkit to Strengthen National Entities to Implement National Responses for HIV & AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria

This guide provides practical guidance on how to manage a capacity development process for national entities to implement national disease responses for HIV and AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. It includes practical advice, tools, templates and process guidance for the five steps of the capacity development process. In addition, the toolkit has specific sections on transition planning and functional capacities. Transition planning deals in detail with the transition of the Principal Recipient role from UNDP to a national entity. The functional capacities section contains information on six specific capacity areas and indicators including those required by the Global Fund as crucial for the effective delivery of programmes.
